UGI Engineering works Private Limited, formerly known as Universal Gear Industries & Engineering works, is a Kolkata-based company that was founded in 1996 and specializes in providing comprehensive rolling mill supplies, from conception to commissioning, to meet the unique needs of its clients. Bar mill supply with capacities ranging from 8,000 to 40,000 mm annually. UGI is a manufacturer of narrow strip mills (up to 500mm), bar mills, wire rod mills, and section mills for angle, channel, beam, and flats. With Sead Steel, Turkey, UGI has a technical partnership to construct rolling mills capable of producing five million tons annually. Utilizing "SLIT ROLLING" technology, which has been demonstrated in Europe and is a novel idea in India, technological support for manufacture and erection is part of the technological collaboration.
