Glazed Wall, Floor Tiles

What are Glazed Tiles?

In India, Before the Tile is placed in the kiln, a layer of Glaze typically colored is applied to its surface. After polishing, it gives the Tiles a glossy look with a variety of patterns and textures, but it is not as durable as polished Tiles.

How to produce a Glazed Tile?

The primary ingredient in Glazed Tiles is clay that has been burned in a kiln. The Glaze is put on before the Tile goes into the kiln. Afterward, when the Tile is fired, it fuses to the upper surface of the clay body. Glazed Tiles can become glossy with polishing.

Types of Glazed Tiles in India

Common Tiles with GlazeThe most basic types of Glazed Tiles are called common ones. They have no unique surface lines or textures, just a very thin coating of Glaze.

Marble floor TilesMarble Tile is porcelain designed to mimic the appearance and characteristics of genuine marble. To replicate the naturally occurring veining patterns found in marble, it is frequently treated with a range of hues and materials. It is available in a range of tones and shades, including beige, black, gray, white, and more. The look of marble can be achieved with a variety of painting techniques, including inkjet and silkscreen printing.

Full-body marble Tiles: These marble Tile products have been upgraded. The complete body Tiles' color, texture, and functionality are remarkably similar to the natural stone's qualitative impact, and their stronger, more permeable texture adds to this. The body of the Tile may be perfectly textured from any angle and with any cutting technique, giving it a genuine texture and a posh feel.

Specifications & SizesVarious sizes of Glazed Tiles are available, including 600x600mm (24x24 inches), 800x800mm (32x32 inches), 600x1200mm (24x48 inches), 900x900mm (36x36 inches), 900x1800mm (36x72 inches), 750x1500mm (30x60 inches), and so on.

ColorsCompared to polished Tiles, Glazed Tiles have more vibrant colors and patterns. With inkjet printing methods, you can achieve about any color you can imagine.

Textures: Varying textures can be seen in Glazed Tiles. On the surface, a variety of patterns and motifs can be created. Natural stone and wood-look surfaces are the two most often utilized types.

Wear Resistance: Applying a Glaze layer to the Tile's surface results in Glazed Tile. Its low permeability and good brightness are indicative of its good wear resistance; yet, because of the thin Glaze layer, it is not as resilient as polished Tile.

Anti-fouling Properties: Glazed Tiles have a significantly superior anti-fouling effect than polished Tiles. Following high temperature firing, a Glaze coating forms on the surface of the Glazed Tiles. Glazed Tiles are less absorbent and less likely to stain thanks to this unique procedure.

Water Absorption: Porcelain Tiles with a water absorption of less than 0.5% are also known as Glazed Tiles. Because of the layer that makes the Tiles sturdy, resilient, and less porous, they are stain-resistant. They are resistant to scratches in the interim, but persistent damage may eventually destroy them.
