Description of Services

Mayo Books provides a platform for users to browse, purchase, and review books. We facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers but do not own or control the inventory listed.

User Account

• You must register for an account to access certain features.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information and update it as necessary.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Mayo Books reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Purchases and Payments

• All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.
• Mayo Books is not responsible for payment disputes between buyers and sellers.
• Refunds and Cancellations are subject to the seller’s policies.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or inappropriate content.
• Violate any laws or regulations.
• Engage in fraudulent transactions.
• Distribute harmful software or engage in cyber threats.

Mayo Books reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts violating these terms.

Content Ownership and License

• Users retain ownership of the content they submit.
• By posting content, you grant Mayo Books a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it within the platform.

Mayo Books may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for external content or services.

Governing Law

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the Terms shall be settled and adjudicated exclusively by the courts of Mumbai as per the laws of India without regard to conflict of law principles.

• 1. Complaints

  If we receive a complaint regarding your activities while using our services (except those covered under "Grievance Redressal"), we will forward it to your registered email. You must respond to the complainant within 10 days, copying Mayo Books in the reply. Failure to do so may result in us disclosing your contact details to the complainant for further legal action. Your non-response will be considered as consent for such disclosure.

• 2. Grievance Redressal

  If you have a grievance as defined under applicable laws, you may contact our Grievance Officer at support@mayoworld.com or call 8530483048.

• 3. Inactive Account Policy

  Unpaid user accounts inactive for 120 consecutive days may be terminated, leading to data deletion. We will provide prior notice for you to back up your data. Activity in one service does not keep your account active in another service. Accounts with multiple users remain active as long as one user is active.

• 4. Hosting Location

  Your cloud facility location is determined at sign-up based on your IP address. If discrepancies arise, Mayo Books may require migration or deny service. You must not mask your IP address during sign-up.

• 5. Data Ownership

  You retain ownership of the content you create or store. Unless explicitly permitted, Mayo Books will not use, reproduce, or distribute your content for commercial purposes. However, we may access and process your content as needed to provide our services.

• 6. User-Generated Content

  You are responsible for the content you publish or transmit using our services. Any public content may be indexed by search engines. You must ensure you have necessary rights before sharing copyrighted materials. Mayo Books reserves the right to remove or restrict access to content in case of legal complaints.

• 7. Sample Files and Applications

  We may provide sample files and applications for demonstration purposes, but we do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.

• 8. Trademark Usage

  Mayo Books and its logo are trademarks of our company. You may not use them without prior permission.

• 9. Disclaimer of Warranties

  Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service and are not responsible for any loss resulting from its use.

• 10. Limitation of Liability

  Mayo Books is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the last 12 months or ₹50,000, whichever is higher.

• 11. Indemnification

  You agree to indemnify Mayo Books against any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your violation of these terms.

• 12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be settled in the courts of Mumbai.

• 13. Suspension and Termination

  We may suspend or terminate your account due to legal violations, inactivity, or law enforcement requests. Terminated accounts will have their data deleted. If you terminate your account due to our breach of terms, you may be eligible for a prorated refund of prepaid fees.

• 14. Modification of Terms

  We may modify these terms with prior notice. If changes significantly affect your rights, you may terminate your account within 30 days and request a prorated refund. Continued use after changes implies acceptance of the revised terms.
